I think I figured out how sylar avoided being shot. On the map their is the name Felipe Acerra. This hero was supposedly a phaser. Unfortunately he is deceased. Probably ala sylar. This means sylar actually wants to stay in primatech because he could probably just walk out like D.L
Hmmm… not so sure about that. I believe it was just mentioned on the podcast that when Sylar was shot, you were able to hear the “clanking” of the bullets on the floor. So he basically used his telepathy to stop the bullets. This seems way more likely, considering we know that was the first ability he gained. But hey, you never know, perhaps he does have some sort of phasing ability as well which would be pretty cool. I think that would be crazy if Sylar maybe just didn’t want to leave Primatech… maybe he wants them to fix him or something.
In the recap, you mention that Eden’s body was found outside Ontario, Canada. I don’t remember for certain if they said Canada in the show. There’s also a Ontario, California. California isn’t nearly so far from Texas…
Dan,
Uh oh! We assumed Canada, but we have to think that a detail like that would have been clarified a little bit if they had actually meant Ontario, California. We’ll look into it. Thanks!
Thank you for the mention in the podcast! It made my night!
But I must admit, I wasn’t the one that uploaded it. I just found it for you
Have you read the TV Guide article in the 1-29-07 issue? Big article about Heroes. Interview with Tim Kring. Here are the basics:
SPOILERS!!!!
1- Claire finds her birth parents (we already know about her mother but this says her father too!)
2- One of the original characters will die during the February sweeps (Kring says it will be ’someone who has been with us from the very beginning.’)
3- Claire’s mom is living in a trailer park.
4- Claire’s father will be revealed and it will be a bigger shock.
5- Once Claire meets her true parents, it becomes more important for her to find other people like her.
6- Eden’s body was found in Cananda (not in Ontario, California-Kring mentions)
7- Hiro is handicapped now because the writers didnt want to make him all powerful.
8- Jessica gets more control over Nikki during February sweeps.
9- Matt is the last hero to find his way into the group.
10- Matt and Ted will cross paths again.
11- Ted was named after Ted Kaczynski.
12- No powers planned (yet) for Simone and Mohinder.
13- Nathan does win the election (as Hiro saw) but Nathan’s destiny will become clear in the March 5 episode. (means Nathan wont die in Feb.)
14- Hana arrives in the Fe. 19 episode.
15-Hiro’s family comes from a ‘long and very important Japanese dynasty. in ancient times “we were shogun class”‘)
Hope you all enjoy this recap of the article.
Pat

When you guys were talking in the podcast about Hiro’s description of “flying man” I remembered something else about Hiro that made me laugh out loud.
When Hiro shows the 9th Wonders comic book to Nathan and Simone they are pretty amazed about it. He then says that the Hiro in the comic book looks like him, “except my face isn’t as round.” That was hilarious! I took that as a direct nod to the fans, US, and the discussions of the paintings and how they don’t look exactly like the characters. One of the thing that was pointed out by the artist was that Hiro was pretty easy to draw for him, except that he knew that he was drawing the face a little rounder than it actually was. Only a fan would know the reference and it’s a small bow to those that are paying attention.
