Not much time has passed since the big shakeup of the Heroes staff and it seems inevitable that Tim Kring will have to replace Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander in some capacity. Many sources are reporting that Bryan Fuller just might be the guy for the job.
For those of you unfamiliar with the name, Bryan Fuller was a co-executive producer for 16 episodes and a consulting producer for 6 more during the first season of Heroes. Fuller departed after season 1 to become the executive producer of the ABC series Pushing Daisies.
Bryan’s known for writing two great episodes of Heroes, “Collision” the 4th episode of season 1 and fan favorite “Company Man,” the 17th episode of season 1. This would be a welcome come back for Fuller considering he’s familiar with the magic behind Heroes and is widely respected by the Heroes cast.

In the wake of the recent decision by NBC executives to shake things up on the Heroes staff, Tim Kring has given a little bit of information about what happened and what he’s going to do with Heroes going forward. The article from Variety.com explains that Kring was pressured by NBC execs to make changes in the staff and concentrate on refocusing Heroes “to the comicbookish good vs. evil themes while emphasizing character development more than plot twists.” Tim Kring has assured Universal and NBC that he plans on “simplifying an overly complex storytelling structure.” You can find the article here courtesy of Variety.com

Fans have voted and Santiago has been chosen as the winner of NBC/Sprint’s “Create Your Hero” that’s been going on for quite a while now. We’ve been waiting to find out how they would incorporate this new Hero and the promo looks quite promising. Santiago has the power of Accelerated Probability and he can run incredibly fast. The promo video shows Santiago using his abilities and there’s also a really cool scene with a female character who’s ability is to turn into water. Michael Ausiello is reporting that Heroes is bringing on Justin Baldoni from the WB Classic series “Everwood.” Baldoni is set to appear in at least 2 episodes of Chapter 4 entitled Fugitives, and will be portraying a “Southern California surfer dude who works at a comic book store.” Also, recent set pics indicate his story line will involve a current major character and you can find out who this is by following the set pictures link below . Breaking: We’ve heard numerous reports today that co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb will be leaving Heroes. Entertainment Weekly and Vareity both report that NBC has made a move to shake up the Heroes staff. Reasons for the move may include the declining ratings, and/or staff layoffs and downsizing by NBC.
Both Jeph and Jesse were heavily involved in the day-to-day operations at Heroes and their departure is sad news for Heroes fans indeed. We wish Jeph and Jesse the best of luck with their future plans. We will always be appreciative for their phenomenal work on our favorite show.
We will stay on top of this story if any new details arise.

Emmy Award winning actor Zeljko Ivanek will be joining the cast of Heroes this season for a ten-episode story arc. He will be playing a character named The Hunter and will make his first appearance in Episode 14, which is the first episode of Volume 4: Fugitives.
Last month Ivanek won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role on Damages. He had previously appeared on shows like 24 and Homicide: Life on the Street.

Last week we reported that Bob (Stephen Tobolowsky) was written off of the show due to a severe neck injury. While it’s true that he was involved in a serious horse riding accident, apparently this was not the reason for him leaving the show. ODI.blogspot.com is siting an inside source as confirmation that Bob’s death scene was already planned. In fact, it was supposed to happen in Volume 3 during the second half of Season 2. ODI goes on to say that some of the scenes were already filmed before the writer’s strike cut the season short. Of course we still wish Steven a speedy recovery but we want to make sure all our facts are straight.

It seems the Pinehearst Company (which has yet to be fully explained on the show) has updated their website. You can apply for a career, watch a company commercial, and even find hidden Easter eggs that contain clues to the future. Recently the site has been updated with a new video that is entitled “Company Commercial”. Also noticed is the same Double Helix pin that Claire was wearing in “The Second Coming”. With about 13 seconds left in the commercial, the pin is located in the bottom left corner of the screen.

NBC.COM recently snagged an Emmy Award at the Creative Arts ceremony in Los Angeles. NBC and Heroes came away with the Emmy for providing so much in-depth content on the Official Heroes Website and especially on the Heroes Evolutions interactive site.

NBC.com took home its first Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Media for the “Heroes” and “Heroes” Evolutions sites. The site had four total nominations. It was announced at the Creative Arts ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 13th.

Some of you may have been shocked to see Bob leave the show so quickly in Season 3. This might not have been the original plan for Bob. According to EW.com’s Michael Ausiello, the actor who plays Bob (Stephen Tobolowsky) was involved in a horse riding accident during the hiatus. Bob could only shoot 2 scenes while sitting in the chair without his neck-brace. We wish Stephen a speedy recovery and we’ll miss Bob on the show. On the flip side, you never know if a character is truly dead on Heroes.
